Make your skincare routine affordable and clean with auraiha

Healthy, glowing skin shouldn’t be a luxury. In an oversaturated market filled with expensive brands that lack transparency regarding their product ingredients, it can feel hopeless to find the right fit for your skin. Whether your barrier to beautiful skin is cost or difficulty finding the right product for you, auraïha provides affordable clean skincare for everyone.

If you’ve ever gone to a department store only to leave empty-handed because of unreasonable prices, auraïha is for you. If you’ve suffered from acne despite trying what seems like an endless amount of skincare products, auraïha is for you.

Affordability allows us to cultivate a community for all. We ensure that the average consumer—you—has access to effective skincare products.

But why clean? The skincare and beauty industries are ripe with buzzwords, including clean beauty. We toss around these words, but do we understand what they mean? And what do they mean for your skin

What is clean beauty?

Did you know that our skin absorbs up to 60% of the products we apply? If we are what we eat, we are what we put on our skin

Clean means our products are free from any harmful ingredients such as parabens, phthalates, sulfates, silicones, synthetic fragrances, and mineral oils—such as petroleum and petrolatum. Clean beauty avoids using synthetic ingredients and rejects ingredients proven or suspected to be harmful to our health.

As awareness grows about what we put in, around, and on our bodies, so does the demand for consumer transparency. What are the implications for our bodies when we don’t understand the words used to market products our skin absorbs? Clean beauty means different things to many, including various cosmetic and skin care brands. That’s why transparency is key.

What clean beauty means to us

Our definition of clean beauty  makes a commitment few others make in the industry, which is why we’re one of the best natural skin care brands out there.

While some clean beauty brands still use synthetic ingredients, often as a cost-cutting measure, auraïha pledges to use all-natural ingredients. At  auraïha, clean beauty also means high-quality and high-performance, whether it’s our glass face brightening serum for glowing skin or our naturally luminous mist & set spray for hydrated skin. In the skin care industry, budget and low-quality often go hand-in hand.  Auraïha's products break that association by high-quality skincare available on a budget.

Our transparent labeling and product descriptions ensure that when you purchase our products you know exactly what you’re putting into your body. We want to foster honest relationships with our consumers, and that begins with providing you with effective products.

Clean beauty in our products

Our products take a unique approach to clean beauty by bridging the gap between skincare and makeup. We follow the “skin first” movement while simultaneously enhancing your natural beauty.  Auraïha aims to create a bond between our formulas and your face, so that our EWG-verified products naturally blend with your skin

It doesn’t have to be an uphill battle. Make your skincare routine clean and easy with our budget-friendly products. In under five minutes you can leave your home with hydrated, glowing skin. Our glass face brightening serum and our naturally luminous mist and set spray cater to all skin types.

Most importantly, our rejection of synthetics used by conventional cosmetics significantly reduces the experience of contact dermatitis. If you regularly apply makeup and skincare products, it’s likely you’ve experienced contact dermatitis, which is associated with itchiness, dryness, and red patches due to preservatives, dyes, and fragrance used in conventional cosmetics. This is especially true for sensitive skin types prone to irritation and reaction.

Our clean beauty products don’t contain the de-hydrating ingredients that conventional cosmetics and skincare products normally do, including alcohol, menthol, peppermint, and synthetic fragrances. Instead, our five minute face routine made clean and easy hydrates your skin throughout your day and enhances your natural glow.

Big-name brands and greenwashing

Do big-name brands include harmful ingredients in their products? Yes, they do, and it’s legal. The lack of beauty legislature and regulation in North America allows companies to continue their use of toxins without obligating consumer transparency. The FDA currently bans only 11 cosmetic ingredients, Health Canada bans or restricts use of over 500 cosmetic ingredients, and the EU bans over 1,300 cosmetic ingredients.

Companies opt for ingredients known to include carcinogens, irritants, and endocrine disruptors over clean ingredients because it’s common practice and it’s cheaper.

But big-name beauty brands no longer have an excuse to continue their use of toxic ingredients—the knowledge and the technology is out there for everyone. And small beauty brands, like auraïha, are taking advantage of the gap in the market for clean products.

When small businesses began to emerge as competitors within the beauty and skincare industries, companies greenwashed their products containing toxins by upping their use of adjectives consumers associate with quality or goodness, but that have no definitive meaning, such as “green” and “natural.” Despite the Federal Trade Commission’s Green Guides, designed to help companies avoid misleading marketing claims, corporate greenwashing persists.

Your role as a clean consumer

With amassing concerns surrounding individual purchase power, consumers want and need more knowledge about the products they buy. From ethical sourcing and data security to food safety and environmental issues, we cannot extricate ourselves from our impact as consumers.

Populations concerned with clean products are growing rapidly. According to the Natural Marketing Institute, “clean consumer” describes about 24% of U.S. adults. In terms of the average demographic, clean consumers are often college-educated Gen Zs or Millennials living in big cities. They tend to hover in mid to high income brackets. Gen Z consumers are spearheading the rising focus on sustainability and supporting clean small businesses over big-name brands. Just like any health-related trend, clean consumerism is expanding beyond this average demographic to include diverse lower income groups.

We want to empower you to join in clean consumerism.  Auraïha is here to answer your questions so that you feel confident in purchasing our products.

Affordable is for you. Clean is for you. Beauty is for everyone.
